Full Moon Shadow!
What an amazing moon there was last night. The calendar says that tonight is the official full moon, but I couldn't find the missing pieces of last night's moon as I stood out under it's reflected light! Jaye tells me that it's the "Buck moon", the Farmer's Almanac says "The Full Buck Moon – July is normally the month when the new antlers of buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur. It was also often called the Full Thunder Moon, for the reason that thunderstorms are most frequent during this time. Another name for this month’s Moon was the Full Hay Moon."
You can call it anything you'd like....just go outside and enjoy it!

Using my tripod and a long exposure - the moon over the back field.
Pulled in and longer exposure.
A bit longer exposure and the clouds are brilliant.
Don makes shadow monsters.
Soaking up the moon shadow!

Lovely photos! It was a glorious moon last night. I went on a 'full moon rowing tour' with my rowing club last night. It was beautiful, the water so still and then this big , bright moon above us...wonderful!

Ahem! Sorry for the mistake/glitch.
Anyway, I do remember noticing how beautiful the moon was a few days back —I imagine we're talking about the same night! :)
